How to fix 192.168.1.1 not working

There are various reasons why 19216811 is not working, I have mentioned the issues and how to fix them below, please follow them one by one.

  • Wrong IP address: If you’re trying to open http //192.168.1.1 and its not working, it might be because your router’s default IP is different. Most of the Home networks are configured to 192.168 but your ip address might be different. So try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 or 10.0.0.1 etc. If none of these work, look at the default address on the sticker which is below the router. If you don’t find any or if it doesn’t work, Checkout the Default IP address of your router.
  • Reset your web browser to default: If you got your default IP address of your modem or router correct and still 192.168.l.1 is not working, then it might be browser. Reset your browser to default, delete all the cookies so that if your browser has any infections they are all cleared. Also check if your browser is up to date, if not update your browser.
  • Check the firmware of your router: Make sure you have the latest firmware on your router, even some of the old firmware versions work but sometimes the problem could be the firmware of the router. Open the official site of your router brand and check if there are any firmware updates.
  • Disable Antivirus or Internet Security Application: Sometimes the antivirus and internet security applications block you from accessing the IP addresses like 192.168.11, so try opening 192.168.1.1 by disabling the antivirus or any other internet security software.

These might be the issues and their solutions should work for most of them, if you are still having problems, then you must Reset your Router. You can reset your Wifi router or modem by clicking on the reset button. Use a toothpick or needle to press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds and it should be reset. Now trying opening 192.168.1.1 and it should work.

If none of these worked for you, then the router must be faulty, call your ISP and get it fixed. Also Checkout the Default Usernames and Password of routers.
